This is me stuck in traffic on A-40 in Montreal Posted by Hello

Travels with Dan

It's June 28 and I've started my trip.
The plan was to go all the way out on the North Shore of the Saint Laurence to the end of the road in Natashquan (Highway 138 Anyway)

Left Aylmer at 8:00 this AM and stopped in Forestville for the night.
Highway 40 thru Quebec, the traffic thru Montreal was pretty bad, but that's standard.
There was a fair amount of construction on the road, but only bad thru Montreal.

I bypassed Quebec City this time, was going to stop a Montmorency falls but things sure have developed around it. It's now looks like an amusement park. Much more developed but it seems to have lost it's charm.

Followed A-40 until the end and then H-138 East, but stopped a the scenic lookout in Baie St-Paul and then followed the scenic route thru the Charlevoix region.
Beautiful scenics but the road climbs and drop like crazy for a while. The roads seems much better than I remembered from a trip many years ago.
